About the OBE Transparency Directory

SUMMARY

Under PSD2, ASPSPs are obliged to allow regulated TPPs to access customer accounts via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that are found on developer portals. Each API contains the available method/function endpoints and parameters that allow TPPs to perform the payment services that they offer to their customers. The OBE Transparency Directory also allows ASPSPs to add the technical and contact details that TPPs can use to set up their technical access to customer accounts and to access the TPP contact details needed to interact with TPPs. The Open Banking Europe Transparency Directory provides a single source of
Operational Data to help TPPs understand developer portals, and to help ASPSPs understand TPP brands.

Storing and retrieving TPP operational information

The PRETA Open Banking Europe directory provides a central repository for TPPs to store contact information so that ASPSPs can contact them, e.g. to notify them of changes.
